quilting monday: finished top!
The piecing is far from perfect, but I still think this looks really cool. A word of advice if you're thinking of making one of these, the directions call for 1/4" seams on the story lines, but I'd suggest using 1/8" or a teensy bit bigger, to avoid this:
It happened on all of them, so I don't think it's my lack of piecing skill. It's not an insurmountable problem, but you can avoid a lot of hassles with narrower seams. Now for the quilting (gulp). The binding is going to be bright orange, and I'm thinking of making the quilting the same color, but I'll have to do a few test swatches first.

I love your quilt. When I first saw the design in the book I thought it looked like some amazing genetic mapping diagram.
