self portrait tuesday: I'm not upset, really!
People who don't see me very often ask me what's wrong when I'm looking like this. But this is my thinkin' and learnin' face, and when I'm doing those things I'm actually happy! This is what I look like most weekends: hair unfixed, no make-up, messy workspace and I'm happy as a clam. They say that worry gives you lines, but in my case, I think it's just concentrating a lot. Oh, I'm also one of those people to whom guys "smile" when I'm walking down the street, no matter what happy thoughts I might have in my head at the time. Note to any of those guys who do this: it doesn't work, and thanks a bunch for actually putting me in a grumpy mood.
More "All of Me" SPTers here.

When I'm concentrating I tend to look pissed. Also, for years I wore hard contact lenses in school and would squint when I looked far away. I must have looked like I was really pissed.

Tee hee ... me too! Only I look sad when I'm just thinking.

hello, i see you're reading "japanese in mangaland"! are you studying japanese?
i am crafting when i should be studying japanese.. but I do occasionally *learn* japanese while crafting. and then i don't feel so guilty about not studying. see it all makes sense!
i also see you have books on crafting in japanese. are you reading the patterns?
when i first met my japanese teacher, she asked me what my goals were... i told her i wanted to be able to read patterns and converse with the ladies who work at the ito-ya いとや (yarn store). the only thing i understand so far, is when i come in and they look at me and say "amigurumi something something. kawaii something something." :)
