Orangework
Here are the embroidered patches I sent out today for faun's swap. The platypus is almost 3" wide, if you're wondering what size they are - next time I'll add something appropriately tiny for scale. These were so fast and easy to make it's got me excited about a whole lot of similar items. My original idea here was to put three unusual animals together one one patch (I had planned to use a crocodile, a fox, and an emu), but then I thought "heck, odd animals deserve their own portraits", which is how these guys came about. I still have to make the original three individually.

They're adorable. The flying squirrel is my favorite.

I'm in love! No, really. The colors, the subjects, the execution.
P.S. I finally got one of your bird ATCs. I'm happy to have a bit of craftymcgee. Thanks.

They are totally cool. I love the one color embroidery. The animals are freaking adoreable. I love the little branch on the flying squirrel. I can just see him sailing through the sky. :)

These are great! I want to love the platypus the most, but it's the squirrel that's won my heart.
Remember the little ceramic squirrels that climbed the wall by your back door. Or was it just one. Or was it Joelle's house. I'm old.
