I saw this on the cover of the Arts section of the New York Times a couple of weeks ago:

It's by a 14-year-old boy, Parnell Dempster. It was created at the Carrolup settlement in Australia, one of those horribly misguided places set up to "civilize" the Aboriginal children. Here is an interesting article about the art, and how it came to be housed at Colgate University, a small school in upstate New York. I couldn't find the book that's mentioned - Child Artists of the Australian Bush - online or at the library, but after a little poking around I found this:

Wow. This one by a 13-year-old. Look at those trees! As if anyone, of any age, who can create something this graceful is in need of civilizing. Just wanted to share...
